Firefly: The Complete series dvd $2
Alien Triple Pack dvd $3
Afro Samurai: The Complete Murder Sessions dvd $1
Pokemon Colosseum(GC) $2
Gundam W cd $1
TNT Promo $3
Escort Solo Radar Detector $2
Sunglasses 50 cents
Alan Wake...er, regular Flashlight $1
Yesterday I hit up about four different community yard sales. I didn't find alot considering how many different sellers I browsed thru but I got some good stuff. What I didn't get is any Nintendo DS systems. The first seller I went to that had games had a DS system for $40 but I passed on that because I got a 3DS system for only $5 more than that a couple months ago at a flea market. Then later I came across a women with three DS systems, two of them boxed. The pink boxed one was apparently only for parts because she said it was wrecked by her youngest. The other boxed one wouldn't get a picture on one of the screens. And the loose system she had for $25 worked but it was missing a charger. I passed on all four of those DS's and on a GBA SP for $15. On to the finds...
I got the Pokemon game from the women who was selling the first DS system and GBA SP. It was the only good Gamecube game she had. There were a ton of GBA games but nothing worth taking. Then she pulled a seller no-no and told me that earlier she had around 20 DS games but they had already sold. I hate when sellers do that. I picked up the Gundam W cd at a house from the first community yard sale that was way back in the boonies. And the flashlight immediately reminded me of Alan Wake but I actually needed a flashlight so it worked out. It can actually double for a bludgeoning weapon.....you know, just in case.
Everything else came from one location at the first community yard sale. I didn't think I'd find so much non-gaming good stuff but the one dude had lots of things that interested me. I passed on a handy cam and desktop PC even though both were cheap. But I picked up the sunglasses, radar detector and the three dvd sets. As you can see they were super cheap. And the radar detector comes at the perfect time since I was about to start looking for a new Escort Passport one(they start at $300) to replace my broken Beltronics one.

I once destroyed a Tekken 3 CD that was already in bad condition with a Game Doctor.
Maybe I used it wrong, but others have told me they're just bad.
not much, but I picked up a promo copy (? hole drilled through barcode) of Ratchet & Clank Future A Crack In Time for 6.99 after a coupon. The real find at the thrift was a nearly complete Lego set (Helicopter w/ Limousine) that wound up about $12. No pics cause I'm lazy.
I grabbed a bunch of DVDs at the dollar store:
Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters and Marvels
Foreign Exchange / Freshman Orientation / Who's Your Daddy triple feature
Butterfly Sword - Special Edition
Film Festival Gems - Thriller (Man of the Year, Noise, Morlang, Wolves in the Snow).
$4 + tax.
This has been a relatively slow month for finds around here. Could be that I just didn't get out as much or try as hard, or maybe I'm just getting pickier? Anyway, I did stop at Half Price at lunch yesterday and picked up this group:
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier (DS) - loose - $8
Twouble! (GBC) - $3
Crazy Castle 3 (GBC) - $3
Micro Machines (PS2) - complete $3
and they had a bunch of Blu-Ray movies in the clearance section for $2 - $3 each so I snagged
Friends with Benefits
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Buried
50 First Dates
Men Who Stare at Goats
Black Hawk Down
Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
Many of these are the DVD combo pack. This is sadly probably my best find of the month...

2 GameCube Games, 2 Wii Games And A DS Action Replay Disc (Disc Only = Mario And Sonic At The Olympic Winter Games) - 6
Nintendo 64 With 3 Games - 3
Xbox With 3 1st Controllers, AV Cord & Dongle For Remote (Not Pictured) - 5
NES, SNES & N64 (With 4 Meg Expansion) All With Controllers, Hookups & Games - 60
Found the GC & Wii games at the first sale of the year, actually had a PS2 out for sale and I asked the kid about video games and he brought out 2 CD wallets with the games in them. Wanted a buck a GC game and 2 per a Wii game and I got the Action Replay disc added. I asked about cases and as luck would have it he brought out cases for 3 of the games but no manuals. The $3 N64 was asking price pretty early on at the 3rd sale of the day and included the 3 games towards the top of the picture. Xbox was asking price. The rest of the stuff was brought out at a sale when I asked about old video games. Wanted me to make an offer which was taken.
NES Cleaning Kit (Boxed) - .50
NBA Jam - 2
System Shock 2 (CIJ) - 1
4 Guides (Hardback = Fable III) - 5
Everything was asking price. The NES cleaning kit seems to have all of it's paper work but the little stick for cleaning games is a generic one and the Styrofoam block is missing (the Walmart price tag says 9.97). The Fable III guide was $2 with the other a buck each.
Been busy moving into my new apartment for the past week so sorry on the late post :P
Got this at i think the only remaining mom and pops video rental place left running in burlington area of vermont. Which they ironically buy and sell old game stuff now! (sweet). Felt bad about what I paid for it but I guess they are roughly going for that on ebay... 8 bucks Only thing missing is the manual.
Also a cool non gaming find for me. To add to my Gas Mask collection
A WW2 era Military Non Combat Gas Mask. a Lens is cracked so got the guy to go down 5 bucks and scored it for 25 bucks (although I feel I still over paid whatever.. Still cool). Definitely never gonna wear it I don't wanna know what kinda horrors that filter will have being from WW2 and all. So cool conversational piece to sit on the shelf!
