Default Oddity For MVP Baseball 2005

I'm playing MVP Baseball 2005 for the GameCube and something odd has cropped up. My team is the Pirates and I traded CF Tike Redman to the Astros. Later in the season, the Astros traded Redman. Still later, the Astros (?!) traded Redman again! And now the Astros are offering him for trade yet again! If they traded him once, how could they trade him again, let alone a third time?!

Can you make a team consisting entirely of him?

I dont think so! Also of interest...when Jayson Werth comes up, the still photo of him has a beard but his video game version is clean-shaven...

I simmed through a season back when it came out (on the PS2), the AI is broken, its not uncommon for each team to make several trades every single day up untill the trade deadline, Its possiable for a single player to be traded a over dozen times in one season. I guess they didn't bother playtesting this one, kind of ruins the game if you want to just play franchise mode.

I was playing a game this morning and noticed a reliever of mine named Bauer had 3 different pitches but threw all three at the same velocity. He has a changeup, a fastball and a slider and throws all 3 at 83-84 MPH. In real games such a pitcher would likely get lit up but this guy pitched 3 shutout innings, gibing up just 1 hit.

Well, its late June in my current season and Houston traded Tike Redman again, this time along with Morgan Ensberg to the Mets. Will this be the trade that sticks.

Recent players I've acquired in trades include Jim Edmonds and Raul Ibanez. Ive used the create player option to give me Nate McLouth and Pedro Alvarez but probably made both two good. I should try to trade Jeromy Burnitz who, after a half-season, only has 3 homers.

After all that, i decided to erase my saves for MVP Baseball 2005 and start a season of MVP 2004. Mvp 2005 has a slight improvement in graphics, especially in close-ups, but takes a hit in fan animations. In 2004, for instancs, if a home player homers, you sometimes get fans jumping in the stands but in 2005, those same fans are still as statues.

I made a 3-for-1 trade prior to the season, sending Tike Redman, Kip Wells and one other (Chris Stynes?) to San Diegi for Brian Giles. So I'll wait for Tike to be traded again.

Here's another odd moment that has happened to me twice recently...I've been playing MVP Baseball 2004 lately so this has occurred in that game. A ball has been hit to the outfield and its being thrown in towards home plate. My baserunner has a lead so i dont bother having him slide in...but then he comes back to home plate where he's tagged out by the catcher. That's a weird play...
