Gotta admit they have done a complete turn around with this game, from the environments to the UI to the actual gameplay it doesn't barely even resemble the tragedy of the initial release.

Some guy released footage on youtube showing the most recent phase 2, not sure how long the video will stay up, but it looks SO much better!

Looks more like FFXII with online enabled than even actually a sequel to FFXI, which imo is a great thing. Pretty pumped to enjoy some FFXIV finally. Looking how it should have in the first place:

I'm more of a WoW guy myself, but what I've seen of the relaunch has me interested. I recall this being a fairly system heavy game, is that still true? My PC can run WoW fine, with the odd hick-up here or there, but RIFT was completely fucked in the sound department the one time I played it.

As a high school teacher I do have to police such language as we have kids from every walk of life, and it would not be fair to them to have to listen to those words used in hateful, derogatory ways (those words DO mean something to them when used without care).

Naturally, one could argue that the use of such language just shows ignorance. At any rate, this thread shows that there is no accounting for taste...
