Want to get a converter for my PAL (please no comments about getting a ntsc console, not an option atm).
Which one is the best one? There's so many different kinds.

Hey look, another thread about the same thing your other thread (and all your posts) is about! You already have an audience and good advice over there, why not continue the conversation and ask about converters as an alternative?

Thought it'd serve as a good thing for the future since the search system did not find anything specific.
In any case, this is a US based site. Not many of us regularly use PAL to be much help.

I personally use an Action Replay to play PAL games on my console, and it works really well. I'd probably go with one of those. The only problems I've observed is FX chip games (my PAL copy of Starwing doesn't work properly on my NTSC console) but I think most if not all the games (at lease the ones worth playing) were released in Europe so you should be good. There are a couple different models, the later the version the better, but any of the 3 will work. It also has the game genie-like cheats options, if you are a fan of that.
I've also read good things about the Honey Bee converters, but I do not have one of those.
Getting an adapter is probably cost you almost the same as a used ntsc console anyways, so why is that not an option?
Often cheap converters don't support enhanced games with the extra pins.
What's rare are NTSC exclusive converters. Vastly harder to find by comparison, easy to notice since they have no lockout slot.
