    Default Any Fighter's Destiny Fans?

Been playing some N64 lately. I forgot how much I loved Fighters Destiny. For those who have not played it is a 3-D fighting game for the Nintendo 64. There was actually a sequel released on the N64 but the original is the best. What makes this game different is it was based on a 7 point system. So instead of simply depleting the enemies health with attacks you could do different moves and get a number of points based on the moved performed. Examples...

Ring Out one point ( you could even hang on the edge of the ring by your hands and pull your opponet by the leg and ring them out)
Knockdown- 3 points (just depleting their health and hitting them hard enough to knock them down
    Throwdow - 2 points
    Counter - 3 points
Special knockdown after health depletion - 4 points

The point system is what made this game aweome. We had some heated battles back in the day. I was surprised when I fired it up a few days ago I enjoyed it playing by myslef. Normally fighting games get boring alone. But there is a lot of fun stuff in fighters destiny. Like rodeo mode, Masters Challenge which unlocks new moves and is vital to having heated matches in 2 player. There is also a survival mode where you can get The Joker if you get 100 wins which is near impossible even for me. I have only done it once. It is also worth noting that you reall only have 2 attack buttons, but, you can do a ton with those 2 buttons. I think it works very well.

Another cool thing is even though some ofthe characters look weird they are all very balanced and fun to play with. I would love to see this game re-released on Wii-U with online.

Anyone else a huge fan? Here's a video link...

Yeah, I played it quite a bit, but then again, there weren't a lot of fighting games for the N64. Certainly a bit different to most other fighters, especially the characters.

This was one of my favorite fighters as a kid, in fact till today me and my brothers say "Hooy-Da" if we get into a joke fight.

I definitely remember logging many many hours playing this game. Still own it. I remember using a female character that could do front and back somersault kicks. It was almost cheating, lol.

Heck yeah! I loved trying to perfect the joker and laying the whoop-down on Uchi (the cow)! Lots of hours playing this near-forgotten gem and its sequel. Maybe it's time for a Fighter's Destiny 3?
