Isn't that what reprints usually do?

The FF Greatest Hits editions just printed a legal notice on the front page of the manual, something like "This game is published by Square-Enix, Inc. and any other publishing entities mentioned are void." (SCEA, EA Square) and left the original game data intact.

Excellent find on City Connection CIB, that's a great game. Although Metal Gear Solid for Genesis? I can't even find footage of this game, just some screenshots from this ebay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/METAL-GEAR-S...p2047675.l2557
Does it go by a different name?
    Whaddya mean invalid parameters?!

9,000 gigs of ram and it still can't answer a simple question!

It's a glorysun hack of Crack Down.

Glorysun is a notorious russian pirate/hacker company for genesis games. Probably their most hilarious work was this mangling of puggsy:

Isn't Puggsy a game that tries to save to the backup RAM it doesn't have as a copier check?
(which I guess bootleg would unintentionally get past that)

That would be true. Luckily, it's also common and cheap.

It completely depends on the publishers. The Square stuff was still all square, just post it's merge w/ Enix. This was a completely different company that published the game a decade after it had first been released.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

    Blessing in disguise.

No more than a half hour later, I came across another lot (for the game boy), looked at what was included, and snatched it up immediately.

Atomic Purple GameBoy Color Console (shown working in another pic)
    Monopoly GB (CiB!)
T2 The Arcade Game GB (CiB!)
    Tetris 2 GB (CiB!)
Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land GB (loose)
    Donkey Kong GB (loose)
Power Rangers The Movie GB (loose)
Spiderman and XMEN Arcade's Revenge GB (loose)
Super Mario Bros Deluxe GBC (loose)
    Lemmings GBC (loose)
    Spiderman 2 GBC (loose)
    Driver GBC (loose)
Star Wars Ep. 1 Racer GBC (loose)
and a loose GB mystery cart.

Total price with shipping included: $40

I still have my childhood GBC so I can resell the console and a few of the games that I don't enjoy for at least half what I paid for the whole lot. It's been a struggle, but now, at the end of the day, I'm finally feelin' good.

I'll make a followup post when I find out what's on the mystery cart.
Thats actually a really good deal. Broken up that GB lot is worth alot more than 40$. Getting it for 40$ SHIPPED online is awesome. You'd be surprised what people pay for gameboy color systems.

    Skip Dr $20
    Disc Wipes $1
    Wii console $35
    Aliens Vs. Predator(360) $5
Star Wars: Knight of The Old Republic(Xbox) $3
    Virtual Cameraman 5(3DO) $85
    Twinkle Knights(3DO) $95
    Paper Mario: Sticker Star(3DS) $15
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D(3DS) $15

The yard sales were almost devoid of any worthwhile finds today. I still managed to find Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic and Aliens Vs Predator at one of them. Both disc had scratches but thats what my new Skip Dr is for. My previous two broke. The two 3DO games were pricey but I'm just glad I can finally scratch both off my list because of how rare they are, especially Twinkle Knights. The two 3DS games were from a craigs list ad. I passed on Luigi's Mansion for 3DS as he wanted a bit more for that one. I may go back for it but it will just be used in trade since I'm still seeking a copy of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate for 3DS. And finally, the Wii console was found at Goodwill. It came complete besides the controller and nunchuk. I checked the power and disc drive at the store but I haven't fully put it thru it's paces yet. This is also my first Wii since the other one is shared by the entire household. Hopefully this one doesn't turn out to be as much of a dust collector as it's cousin.

I thought I was done with stuff showing up this week. Got Battletoads on Amazon. It was the first retro game I've bought on Amazon. I must say the price was great even though I was pretty apprehensive. Also got some SNES dust covers for $1 each. I can't believe people on eBay are paying Over $2 for these things.

    Atari: 2600, Jaguar
    Microsoft: XBox, XBox 360
Nintendo: NES, GB, GBC, SNES, N64, GameCube, GBA SP, Wii, New 3DS, Wii U
Sega: SMS, Genesis, Game Gear, Nomad, Sega CD, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast
    Sony: PS1, PS2, PS3
    Wanted: 7800, Neo Geo CD

Got a CiB Global Gladiators Genesis off of amazon for $4.60.

It's no treasureland adventure, but I always love nabbing a mcdonalds game; honestly speaking, none of them are bad and most are pretty damn good.
