    Default Favourite Gun controller

Im not sure if this has been done before, so here goes.
A lot of consoles have had gun controllers. Some sucked, some rocked. Which is your favourite. Take into account whatever factors you want: accuracy, feel, and coolness, or maybe just a personal favourite.

I KNOW i missed some, but i dont know what, so fill me in! Same goes with name errors.

I voted the SMS Light Phaser: Cool name, and cooler looks. This is the only Gun controller I've seen that is suitable as a Halloweeen costume accessory!

The only gun I had was the Fugly orange one for the NES. And it quickly broke. Never replaced it and never got one for another system.

Speaking of guns, does anyone know which guns will work on an HDTV?
I know the Guncon 2 does, and the Saturn Stunner (using VC1+2) won't,
but how about Guncon1 or the Zapper?

    Mad Catz Dream Blaster (DC)
    Pelican Stinger (DC)
    Interact Starfire (DC)
    Mad Catz Blaster (XBox, PS2)
    Konami Justifier (SNES, Genesis, PSX?)
    Nyko Cobra (PSX, Saturn)
    Stunner (Saturn)
    Guncon (PSX)
    Guncon II (PS2)
    Action Max Light Gun
    Odyssey Shooting Range Gun
    Telstar Arcade

Don't forget, there are a whole slew of other asian & US third party guns for NES, DC, PSX, etc. The actual Sega Dreamcast light gun was in Japan, and never was officially made in the US.

That being said, I liked the anime-big-gun feel of the Starfire.

3DO had a light gun, as did the Atari XE.

Though I like the PSX Guncon and the SMS Light Phaser, my favorite game gun is the Stunner, of Sega Saturn and arcade fame. Its revolver-of-the-future design, similar to that of a pistol seen in the anime film Wicked City, always appealed to me. I haven't been a gun nut since junior high, but if anyone ever made a real revolver that looked like the Stunner, I'd probably buy it, no matter how unfeasible the design.

Ive added the ones the ones Achika suggested, and changed the names. Probably screwed it all up too. :/

The actual Sega Dreamcast light gun was in Japan, and never was officially made in the US.
Would that include also PAL regions ? Im in Australia (home of the botched DC launch), and i have a feeling mine might be the sega one, but its been a while since i saw it (lent it, been meaning to get it back).
If it is the sega one, i just have to say how damn accurate it is. Perfect every time.

I think Konami did make a playstation gun, but i dont think it was like the justifier. I remember seeing it for sale once with Crypt Killers. I think
Has anyone else seen the konami gun ?

See, we had a red one at work that looked like the Genesis & SNES justifier, but now that I think about it....it must just be a third party. Konami's gun was bright green.

Anyhoo, I'm not sure about the Sega gun being made in PAL regions. I only know about the US because it apparently looked "too real" and it was just after that plague of school shootings, etc.

I voted for the Namco Guncom. The best light gun ever that plays the best light gun game ever (Point Blank, like there was any doubt).

The Super Scope...cause it's so cool looking and had some pretty fun games released for it to boot. I just hate it though, when I forget to turn it off and drain all those batteries.

I like the sms phaser. It didn't make the annoying sound of the nes one and wasn't too large for it's own good like the 16-bit ones. There were some decent games to play with it like Gangster town and Safari Hunt. The only bad thing is that mine is broken right now.

I think the zapper and the super-scope are the only two guns that I've actually used. The super-scope is nice... but it just seems all a little to unnceccassary. What with the scope and all. :P
    Zapper was my choice.

Probably the Sega Stunner for overall quality and whatnot. The arcades use the same design so it's a nice one. Guncon 1s are cool too.
