    Default Saturn Emulation - add-ons

The 4MB Saturn RAM cartridge image seems to be difficult to find. Does anyone know where this can be found?

Not sure what the 4MB cart has to do with emulation, but they aren't tough to find. Just search for Action Replay Plus. There are online sites in US and UK that have them, as well as Ebay.

I was hoping to find an image of the 4MB cartridge so that it can be added to the Saturn emulator. There's a directory path in the emulator for that cartridge image.

Go into your emulator's settings, go into Cartridge (or however you get into add-ons) and just select the 4MB cartridge from the dropdown menu. The emulator will generate it as a save file. What emulator are you using?

Ewww... Emulators. Well, we can't physically provide you with the ROM or whatever of the cart, but as he said, it's probably in your settings depending on which one you're using...

    Thanks!

You know, I think that worked. Not totally sure, but the emulator didn't complain at all. I have to spend some more time with it.

The emulator is Yabause 0.9.10. So far, it seems kind of half-baked. Quite a few titles fail to load and some run with garbled or missing graphics.

Is there a better emulator out there?

SSF. However, why not grab a real one? You can buy a Saturn and add a modchip for under $100.

I got all three if my Saturn's for under $20. One at a thrift store for $15 and the other two at flea markets for $10 a piece.

The guy who sold me both gave me one controller for it and two other Genesis controllers, probably because he thought it was all the same.

Curiously he had a old beat up NES for $50 with mario duck hunt. I think I walked away with a good deal.

In fact all his Nintendo stuff was sky high and sega stuff was fairly cheap.

I think that's eventually what's going to happen. For now I'll use the emulator to get an idea of what games I like the most. Then the collecting begins....

About a year ago I spotted a Saturn at a thrift store. I sooo wish I'd picked it up then. It was still in the box too. At the time I didn't know jack about the Saturn. Urgg....

    Open SSF without disk mounted>Option>Peripheral>Cartridge.
