    I've.... only played three.

Shin Megami Tensei - Strange Journey
    Shin Megami Tensei IV
Shin Megami Tensei - Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers

Of the three, I think I like Strange Journey the best, with Soul Hackers a close second. SJ just seems like a more tightly designed game, with Hackers being a port, warts and all. Both have pretty interesting setups and stories. SMTIV has been a bit disapointing. Its setting and story are great, but its gameplay is really slip-shod. Like, they tried to modernize the gameplay but... didn't really change the mechanics to match that goal.

I've got a copy of Nocturne I haven't played yet, but I really don't care for the idea of being tied to a TV screen for 50 hours. I want to get my hands on Devil Survivor Overclocked. Also looking forward to Persona Q (perhaps my first Persona game, hopefully it won't be completely confusing)

I'd really REALLY like to see a 3DS enhanced port of Strange Journey.

I've been trying to get my mitts on the various PS2 era games. But they've been rather elusive. Also would really like to get a PSP so I can play the first Persona. But PSPs are proving more expensive then I'd like.

Atlus only printed half a billion copies once they started gaining a lot of popularity at the end of sixth gen. Just about every SMT for the PS2 can be had new for less than $20. SMT Nocturne and the two DDS games are $16 or $17 each.

I haven't played them all, but I'd have to say so far these are mine:
    Nocturne
    Persona 4
    SMT 4

man dont remind me, i remember when noctourne was impossible to find & was going for 120 or more used, then finally thinking i lucked out when i found a copy for 70

like 2 weeks later news hits that noctourn reprints were flooding the market bringing the value down to like 20, fml

i own or have played a shitload of smt games but never finished any but going off what i have experienced, im going with

    persona 3
    persona 2 eternal punishment
tie between persona 2 innocent sin & noctourne

i own both digital devil sagas but early impressions are not favorable

That sucks. Stuff like that's happened to me too. I bought Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World when the price started rising from $20, only for the PS3 HD Collection to be announced less than a week later and the price dropped down again for the Wii version.

I saw this news post how Miyamoto said they're thinking about the 3DS successor and not working on a revision anytime soon. So I bought a 3DS thinking it'll be atleast a couple years before we get a 3DS XL announcement.

    A week later. http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/21/n...ch-top-screen/

I was pretty pissed. Didn't get a 3DS XL until I found one for $150. Coincidentally, a month after I got it for $150, the Pikachu one sold at Target for $150. Really disappointed the timing I got my 3DS XL because I would have rather had that one.

I have personal favs out of each I've tried, but can't argue how much better and unique the Persona games keep getting
    So they go,
P4,P3,P2 (psp version), and because of this I can't wait for P5!

I'm most thankful they upgraded this one for psp so I could play it out of all the other redos.

I finally beat SMT IV last week, after a string of distractions. Overall, its setting, story concepts, and visual look were a lot more engaging then its (heavily flawed) gameplay. I'm still glad I played and beat it, but I'm afraid it wouldn't make my top 3 list. If I played any more SMT franchise games. Which I do hope to do soonish.

The Raidou games are also pretty fun.
