Congrats, I never got past the Fonz at the end of the snow level.

I've been trying to get back into Dragon Quest VIII, which I abandoned 13 hours in, 8 or 9 years ago. I like all the character/enemy designs, but the game just feels a bit sluggish.

Actually, he will back away from you every time you jump kick him. So you just need to get him in a pattern where you jump kick him from side to side and he'll spend the entire fight running away from you.

Edit: I just uploaded part 2 of my run. The fight with Tora (the polar bear) is at the end of the video.

It's not perfect but I pretty much show the easy way to beat him.
