I don't suppose the SNES has a color pot that can be adjusted like some of the older systems do?
My other thought - is this perhaps a PAL Snes? I know sometimes those manifest as black and white on NTSC televisions but these are both "shot in the dark" suggestions/theories

It’s an NTSC snes and I couldn’t find anything on Google about a snes color pot but that is interesting idea is there perhaps someone reading this that could shed some light on the existence of such a thing?
There is a pot that adjusts the color crystal, but I think crystal problems manifest as a black and white picture. My first guess would be a bad capacitor; probably somewhere in the path of the red signal. Second guess would be a resistor.
