    Default NES lottery modem???

    http://www.megspace.com/entertainmen...ery/index.html

It has detailed information about a modem for the NES designed by the Minnesota State Lottery. This is the first I've ever heard of it. Does anyone know if a prototype of one still exists? Pretty cool tho.

I heard a while back that a modem of this sort was released for the nes quite a while back because at the time nintendo was trying to get into the adult japense market, where they could check the stock market, and little more, though it was a bad idea apparently because it took forever to connect and was like way toooo slow to be somewhat useful.

Sorry, but I don't know what it went for. I could make up a number if you'd like! In fact, here it is!!!

It went for $3,000 dollars! The seller accepted cash, money order, paypal or your left nut.

I ahve a question. If it was done then, why couldnt it be done now? Does anyone think theyre is a way to make an online adapter for the 8-bit? It has to be possible if it was done then. Imagine Playing MarioBrothers against your friends down the block, while hes still at home.

Well, Contiki has been ported to the NES, so maybe someone will make some network hardware for it.
