Hello,
A couple of years ago I bought a SNES on a flea market, and just recently I decided to hook it up.
However, I noticed there is some problem with its graphics.
Fifa International Soccer plays just fine. No issues with the graphics or whatsoever.

However, with F-Zero, problems appear.
Main screen. Notice the garbled rubbish on top of the screen, and that there's no racing track.

During a race (demo mode). Again, no racing track.

After a race, back at the main screen.

Notice the top bar has changed from garbled rubbish to some mountain-ish landscape, which it actually has to be.

Does anyone have an idea what could cause this problem? Faulty capacitor, bad solder joint, maybe?
Or is this a problem with which I'd be better off buying another SNES, instead of troubleshooting for ten hours, only finding that an irreplacable IC has died?
I've already cleaned the pins on the cartridge and the cartridge slot in the SNES with 97% alcohol, but to no avail.
It is a PAL system, and the stickers on the bottom read:
UP10959248, model number SNSP-001A(FRG), ©1992, SNSP-HOL. (Presumably a SNSP-CPU-01 board.)
The F-Zero cartridge is fine (at least, two years ago when I played it on someone else's SNES).
The discoloration on the screen from left to right is CRT wear on my projector, not an issue with the SNES.
Thanks in advance!
