If you HAD to be a fanboy, what company would you praise?

I'm crazy about the Gamecube regardless of the amount of accessorizing it does so I instictively clicked on "Nintendo" up in the poll. I mean I've got the AC cards, the GBA link up and I want the reader and the GB player, so I'm obviously a Nintendo whore.

However, now that I think about it, I like my Dreamcasts way more and I also own a Genesis and a Saturn (which makes them the majority brand in my house) so I guess that makes me more of a Sega fan, but all of their systems are "dead" so I'll stand by my vote.

Sega for me.

Despite their many mistakes over the years (32X etc) I still look forward to anything they put out. The Dreamcast is one of my favourite systems and I'm gutted that it was never a commercial success. I grew up with a Master System and then a Mega Drive and I've own quite a few of both. I'd like to see a day when they're back in the Hardware market and being a big success again.

I've slowly come round to Nintendo though. I've never been too keen on Gameboys, NES and SNES but I love the N64 and the Gamecube (which looks like it could be another DC ).

Sega for now.. maybe Nintendo in the future.

I'm not really a fanboi-type myself, but there is one company - and they are the only game company - that has my unswerving loyalty. They are the only game company from whom I will, without reading any reviews, go to the store and pre-order and pick up their game - paying full price - on release day.

That company is Ion Storm (Austin). Note that the Ion Storm (Dallas) which was John Romero's playground is dead, and now only Warren Spector and his crew remain. IMO they make the best stuff out there, and all their stuff is exceptional.

Nintendo is good, but they have some rotten eggs now and again. I love their good stuff, but those still doesn't make up for a stinker like Majora's Mask...not enough to push me into fanboyness.
