Hey, remember when Nintendo had a reputation of sorts for reliable, indestructible hardware?
Seems my tribulations are unending. Somewhere along the line, the touch screen on my (refurbished) 3DS XL went askew. The bottom-left corner of the screen is distinctly closer to the bezel than the bottom-right corner. Upon placing it on a table and looking at it from slightly above the surface suggests the backlight is shining in somewhat at the upper-left corner, while the upper-right corner is properly flush.
A bit of Googling turns up at least one thread suggesting that if I try to get Nintendo to fix this, I'll be faced with more of the anguish I experienced before. I guess I'll just have to live with it; the difference is probably too small to have any meaningful impact on touch input, it that's even possible. My only concern is that one day it might suddenly take a turn (heh) for the worse – has anyone encountered reports of that happening?
Of course, it would also be great if there happens to be a trivial fix for this out there.
