Playing through Skies of Arcadia Legends. Getting very bored with it sadly. It doesn't seem to hold up too well in my opinion.
Scarface: The World is Yours (PS2). I was pleasantly surprised how good this is. Basically GTA in Scarface world.
It doesn't and it's the version more likely to hold up since the DC game was loved yet panned for its very aggressive random battle counter rate and also the drawn out 'arts' sequences when doing spells and junk which the GC version tweaked. I have it too but I hold onto it mostly due to the past, not because I think I could tolerate sitting through it again as I know I couldn't. I even this time around have the official guide and I know it wouldn't add many hours to my tolerance of it. Had it aged well I think Sega would have milked it again much like Namco with Tales of Symphonia redone from GC into HD.
It's definitely the random battles that are draining the fun. Thankfully you can skip the battle animations for the abilities. Wish you could for using items. I'm still gonna stick with it and finish it since I never had a DC when it was out. Feel like I need to at least play through it once.
I can't say that it will get any better to be fair. The game is really a good experience but a flat one that doesn't get better with progress. If you find the GC battle frequency draining the DC game would have been sold or used as a drink coaster or frisbee already a sit was annoying. I never thought super highly of the game though other than the badass airship battles as I always wondered why those loafs at Square never did them in the FF games since airships have been a staple of the cart based stuff and then some.
