Default Need Help Fixing Genesis 1

I accidentally plugged my NES power supply (9v 1,3a AC) into my Genesis. The red power light comes on with it plugged in, but there is no signal to the TV. I then tried a 9v DC power supply and the red power light does not even come on. Does anyone have any info that might help fix it? I purchased this cheap ($10) hoping it would work, but I may have messed it up myself.

I have tested voltage to the main board with my multimeter and the main board is getting power through the red and white wires. I have searched around and it appears the voltage regulators may have been damaged. Hoping someone on here know what the left terminal (input) voltage is for a good working console.

Really want to get this fixed. I have been looking on the cheap for one of these for a while. Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

I checked the two voltage regulators and find no power on the left terminal while using the middle leg as ground. I guess I need to know what supplies the regulators...anyone know?

    Welcome to the Roundtable!

    There's a Restoration forum on here http://forum.digitpress.com/forum/fo...ration-Society
I'm sure there's more than one instance of power issues. I got a Sega Master System that would light but not work. I replaced the regulator and it fixed my issue. Dont know if it's the same with Genny's G1's.

Anyhew here's the regulator if you where needin one.
