Please check out the link and find out for yourself. I know some of us do sell on ebay and many of us do buy on there as well. What do you think of their changes??

Really doesn't bother me as a bidder since I always know what I'm looking for and just use the search box. As a seller I think its good that there is more detailed categories so things can go in thier specific places. I wouldn't mind if they didn't change and it doesn't bother me if they do.
Like drexel I just use the search box, but the new catagories do make things easier for different items.
My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
I like it. More chances for a seller to put something in the wrong category so I can get it for cheap.
'Bout time they had a strategy guide section too (unless I'm blind).

"I am way too lesbian for that shit."
Yeah, basically. So long as the system is by nature dependent on the user choosing a category, it's going to be full of incorrectly listed items.
Seeking display quality copy of I Want My Mommy for the 2600... if you have one, PM me, I will pay/trade well.
It's nice to see Sega CD added...wish they would add Turbografx though.

Currently playing on my Xperia Play: Nectaris: Military Madness (PSX), Chrono Trigger (SNES)
I don't like it. Now I can hit Sega Master System, and see all of the system lots, games, and accessories in one place. Now, that's three different places. I assume the reason eBay did this is to try to cash in on more 2 category listings.
Also, from looking at the vintage and other categories, it's seems obvious enough to me that they need TG16/PCEngine and NeoGeo categories. They seem to make up well over half of those categories.
You will still be able to browse all SMS listings as one, but there will be more categories you can choose if you want to get more specific.
It'll be just like the NES, SNES, Genesis, PSX, DC, N64, whatever...
When browsing, select videogames, Sega Master, and then you're done. If you only want to search games, select games, if systems select systems, this is the way most larger platforms work. You as a browser do not have to go all the way down to the most specific search.
And it looks like there are Strategy Guide categories coming as well.
It does make for more confusion to the sellers, and makes for more options, and possiblities to list in two categories, which equals more money for ebay.
I agree there most certainly needs to be separate listings for Neo Geo & TG/PCE.
I bet some Sega fanboy was bitching about all these damn Pico auctions cluttering up his searches so now we can move them out.
Maybe I'm misreading it, but it looks to me like the drilldown is changing. What you described is what I am used to and like, but now it looks like it's goign to be Games -> Sega Master Syetem or Systems -> Sega MAster System etc. Searches would still work as long as the right words are in the topic which isn't always the case.
Now that all of the changes are in effect, I can honestly say that I HATE the way they organized it. Why in the hell would you split the systems away from the games in all categories. I liked it when I would be searching for a paticular SNES game, it would come up in all in one window, now you can't seperate it, you have to choose one or the other! (From what I can see, maybe someone out there knows how to get around this)
You can't just browse one system type (systems and single games) anymore under 1 listing, that really sucks!!
It seems that ebay just messes around with a good thing wayyyyyyy too much!
I posted another topic today on this, sorry I should have just went back and found this one:

Well, I wrote the person they send you to and she wrote back and you will be able to search all the listings under a particular system in the future -- like how it was up until yesterday.
I probably urge you to still email her to let her know because if this doesnt get implemented it will be painful to search for items
Oh come on now we all now how great a system the sega pico is, think of all the kids who loved it back in the day .Originally Posted by buttasuperb
