I've been trying to play a Dreamcast Import I picked up at the pawn shop for .80 cents and I have no clue what game it is.. I go to use my Utopia Boot disc to play it and it stops t like 96% loading and goes to a black screen..

Can you scan the game? Maybe someone can ID it. I've heard that the Utopia doesn't work on some of the later DC releases and rereleases, but I've yet to have encountered it, as I only have a handful of DC imports.Originally Posted by Shadysmurf

There are two versions of the utopia disc available... and a.f.a.i.k. by using both discs, you are able to play any game.
It was Dynamite Deka 2 aka Dyanmite Cop in the Us... but I found the problem a tiny scratch on the disc or tough I think. I will try searching for the other boot disc and trying it

Has anyone had an issue about not being able to use the analog pad when playing an import through the Utopia disc? I successfully got a few JP imports to work with my Utopia 1.1 disc, and not one of them responded to the analog pad.
With the very tiny bit of Japanese I know, I even figured out that's it's not the case where the game didn't use the analog pad in the first place...
Ikaruga works for me with the Utopia boot disc and the analog pad.

While having no problem with playing "backups" with an Utopia boot disk (when needed), I could not getan original copy of Puzzle Bobble 4 (Japan) to finish booting up with either version of Utopia boot disk. I finally did get it to bootup using a gameshark.
I am not sure if it is the particular game or the "version" of the dreamcast console I have. Don't give up on the game until you have tried a gameshark or similiar device.
I just made my Utopia boot cd for when I start trying imports also. had issues burning it with Nero, but no problems with Disc Juggler.
My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
Does anyone have a picture of this boot disc?
Whats it do?
Where can I get it?
How does it work?

Go there... grab the files.. burn them (read the info how to).
Pop that disc into your DC... then your import.
Voila.
Burn them to what?
CDR..CDRW?
And what if I dont have discjuggalar or NERO?
Srry if this is anoying to you guys, im new to the whole importing thing!
Nero has a trial availble, not sure about DiscJuggalar
I need to get me an import boot disc for my Dreamcast.

I used the gameshark but it only loads some games. Neither will let me play 3rd strike or Marvel VS Capcom 2.
The Utopia boot disc has given me no success (on either version).
I have three NTSC-J games (Sega Rally 2, House of the Dead 2 and Sonic Adventure 2). Only SA2 works with it.
On the other hand, I can play them no trouble with the Gameshark CDX Demo CD.
My Utopia disc issues may only be PAL related though.
