Sega Saturn AV question

Did they make different AVs for the Sega Saturn?

Ok I have two Sega Saturns one oval button version(my personal system) one round button version...I have my original AV that has a plug in end that has three internal pins and a flat end..

I buy this http://www.ebay.com/itm/401047724013 as I need a second AV so that I can put the second console up for sale...They send me a cord(I ordered 2) that does not fit the Saturn it is to small at the plug in end "almost looks like it would fit it forced and I mean forced,but the pins are too many and though some look to line up one will not..it would be some headache if that pin broken in the AV port..

Curious I tried the new AV wires in a Sega Genesis 2 system and they fit and work..

Now I had bought Saturn AVs from this seller before and they fit but this time no...The seller is telling me that they are for Sega Saturn ..

In this listing shows a picture of what I was sent..I can't get this plug end into my Saturns..yet this Seller also lists it as for Saturn and Sega Genesis..

Am I wrong?..is there a Saturn version out there that a Sega Genesis 2 AV cord also fits into..

I don't get much for Used Saturns so adding an original AV they are not cheap...

Well, the port is about the same size as a Genesis 2/3/Nomad, but it has a rounded top half compared to the flat, cut-off Genesis port. The cables have the same diameter and, and the ports have the same pin holes, but because of the flattened shape of the Genesis cable, they aren't interchangeable. Hope that helps!

I ordered 2 of the same cables, for both a round and oval button Saturn, from the same seller, and both worked fine.
I think you got a mix up

the only difference in the listing between yours and mine is mine had "5Z" in the listing title and yours has "1Z". I don't know if that's relevant or not.

If the cables actually work in a Sega Genesis 2 then they won't work in a Saturn, both systems use a different pin out. Cables aren't interchangeable between the Genesis and Saturn.
