    Default E3 2017

Anyone excited over any of the press conferences or new games to possibly be unveiled? Anyone from the forums attending the event?
This will be my first time attending E3 as it's the first year open to the public, and while I'm not incredibly excited, it's an item to mark off of my bucket list as it was an event that I've wanted to attend for years. I'll be there Tuesday through Thursday, and my only hope is to get my hands on some Super Mario Odyssey. Ubisoft has reached out by e-mail to get me to come by their booth, that was interesting. If anyone here is going, let me know if you would like to meet up.

E3 press conferences have begun as early as the weekend before the event, but the event this year is Tuesday June 13 - Thursday June 15.

For the first time in my life, I do not own any of the consoles being supported at E3 this year. Sold my Orbis last August, and then sold a second one I bought in October last January. And, with the exception of Microsoft's presser with the Scorpio, I really don't care about E3 this year. I never thought I would ever say that. I just don't like the course the industry is going with all the digital only titles, DLC, day one patches, rushed development times, etc. For example, when I bought my second Orbis in late October, and put Witcher 3 in the console to install, it had over 20GB of patches to download. Fuck that. From now on, I'm only buying games that work fine out of the box (Titanfall 2 is a recent example. It only had a measely (by today's standards) 500MB day one patch) or waiting several years for the Game of The Year/Complete/Ultimate/Etc. Editions. And even then, the DLC must be on the actual disc, and not a separate download code.

Until Shenmue III and Cyberpunk 2077 come out, I'm sticking with my 7th generation and older consoles. Though I really do need to get another Wii U. I miss having one quite a bit.

I want Samus returns; everything else is secondary.
