I've been wanting to play Grim Fandando while now and this is less than my typical game budget($4 at goodwill).

It is part of the Humble Bundle right now, too, at the pay what you want level. https://www.humblebundle.com/day-of-the-devs-2017
Thanks, I'll have to look into that. I only saw the Steam sale because it was on my wishlist but I haven't purchased it yet.
The weird thing is that I was about to email a friend of mine who's been telling me since about 1999 that I need to play Grim Fandango and I was going to mention that I still haven't played it, and then I see the notice about the sale. So instead, I mention that now I'll finally get to play it(as soon as I find the time, that is).

It is a really great game! At the time I played it, I hadn't played many similar games (point n click adventure), so I got pretty frustrated at times. But the puzzles all make complete sense, just have to think logically, which can be hard given how weird some stuff is in the game. I think I'll pick it up just to save figuring out how to install from the disc.
This reminds me that I found the complete big box game at a thrift one time, but just resold it because it was going for good money and I already had the disc/manual. What a mistake!
I still need to play this game too. I've owned at least 2-3 complete copies of this over the years but still haven't had time to play it, I can't remember if I have 2 copies left or just 1 but I know I do still own a copy at least. I don't have the strat guide though. At least I don't think so.
If anyone didn't get it from the above, it is now free on GOG for a limited time.
