The recent increase in market availability of original SNES cartridges has made me consider picking up a Retron. I've got SNES copies of Marvel Superheroes: War of the Gems and Captain America and the Avengers lingering around I'm getting antsy to play on the original carts again...
The build quality on the 2-in-1 Retrons are decent but avoid the Retron 5 like the plague. same for the Supa Boy. I cant speak to the quality ofbthe Retro Bit clones but I havent heard any complainte

Nothing on the game front so far. I did pick up a MacBook power supply with the long cord attachment for $3. I haven't tested it yet as the MB it'd work with is at work.

I agree. The whole reason why we started doing yearly threads is because we used to just have one unending thread and it got so large it started being problematic for the forum software to handle. Originally I believe we did weekly or monthly threads but that was when people were finding things regularly, a yearly one is good enough now.

I don't have photos of the few things I've found recently. Maybe I'll get around to posting what I found but it's not anything amazing.

You're thinking of the Daily Playing topic. Finds topics went from weekly, to monthly, and then to yearly starting in 2016 due to the lessened activity of the forum. Considering the 2019 topic is only 6 pages, I wouldn't be opposed to a topic that covers more than just 2020, but I'm also fine with keeping it yearly. If many users and the other staff want to keep it yearly, we can change this thread's title to 2020 Yearly Finds. But at the very least, I added an "s" to "find" so this topic will show up among all the others when one does a search for topics with "finds" in the title in the Buying and Selling sub-forum.

Today I swung by a Goodwill to kill some time before meeting a client on that side of town. It looked like they got a fresh influx of 2000's era games, so I nosed around to see what I could find. I came away with the following:

-Wii Play NIB (game and Wii-mote): $9.99
-Wii: Star War-Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels (complete)-$2.99

The Star Wars game looked fun and I actually like Wii Play when I had it. I really wanted the Remote as I know one of mine died. Finding those at a decent price is getting more difficult.

My mistake, I mixed up the threads.

I might as well post some of my finds. This isn't everything as I don't have everything pictured but I mentioned these earlier in another thread, I ended up getting these games back on November 14th all for $20. One of the games is missing the manual but everything else is complete, though not all are in the greatest condition.

i actually really like the Retron 5. Are you referring to an earlier model of it? I bought mine from gamestop in 2017 i believe and it seems to work great and the plastic is solid ...now the controller is horrible but i use originals for that

well i wasnt expecting to grab any thing game related this weekend, but a buddy of mine who runs this small game/toy store told me about some stuff he was gonna throw out and i could have if i wanted....of course i jumped on it....basically nothing special, but still exciting...got several ps1/ps2/ps3 games...mostly either loose disc, or badly scratched.....i threw away a lot of the stuff, but was able to salvage and add about 15 games to my collection...i'll try to name the more notable ones now......there was a legend of zelda for NES to note...the cart is in awful cosmetic condition, but actually still works...a case and manual but no game for gundam on dreamcast.....tonyhawk underground 2 on ps2 disc only but in great condition....secret agent clank complete on ps2 but game is so scratched its unplayable..i might try to get it resurfaced...rollerblade and a tigger kiddy game both complete on ps1......

however....the great part is this.....i noticed a stack of sega saturn games that were disc only in generic jewel cases.....the discs are all in great condition....8 games in fact.....he told me he'd give me a deal....$3 a game!! the games are: panzer dragoon, daytona usa, nhl all star hockey, night warriors darkstalkers revenge, robotica, star fighter, 2 copies of virtua fighter 2, and x-men children of the atom!! also picked up jurassic park on gameboy for $4

unfortunately all the games are loose and also i dont have a sega saturn to play them on...but i'm defintly searching for a saturn now...

I swung by the local St. Vince De Paul thrift store to find an alarm clock for my eldest step son and came across a red PS3 Dual Shock controller for $3.50. It's charging but I'm not sure if it'll hold a charge. We'll see.

Heh, about the ONLY game related find I've had in recent memory was stopping at a St. Vince De Paul thrift store on Friday and getting a Dual Shock 3 controller. I don't have a PS3 but figured I'd use it for Android games. Seems to work well enough.

I keep sleeping too late to get out of the house before everything closes. I really use vacation weeks to catch up on my sleep, since I work evenings except for one midnight to eight AM shift and that screws up my sleep patterns. Yesterday I managed to get out and go to a GameXchange. All I bought was Persona 3 Reload for the PS4. Today I managed to go to two GameXchange locations, picked up Thimbleweek Park, Among Us Crewmate Edition, Subnautica, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for the PS4. When I got home tonight I found Atomic Heart for the PS4 on my doorstep from Amazon. I only ordered that one about 5am this morning
