    Default Nomad Repair Screen Question

So I re-capped my friends Nomad, everything came out fine but now the screen has these orange pixelly Splotches on it.
So what's this damage from? I kept the screen covered and flat the whole time so not sure if the stress of the operation caused this.

Repairable? Or should we just go with an LCD upgrade?

I've never seen a screen behave like that. Does the spot stay that size and color?

i've seen LCDs go bad like that,
looks like its time for an upgrade.
probably for the best, i hear the LCD upgrades not only look tons better but significantly improve battery life.

never done one my self so i cant say how hard it is but if you managed to recap that thing then it probably shouldnt be a problem

The Nomad now has a ton of custom options these days. I would not keep the OEM LCD in there nor the Game Gear. Recapping is great but those screens were junk.

Yeah sprung for an upgrade! Looks great, however now I'm having issues with the AC input as it's touchy. Done some re-soldering to the area and it doesn't help. May have to pull a new piece out of an extra Gen2 that I have.
