Default RE: ColecoVision controller options, what is your favorite?

OF COURSE, besides the default, there are the Super Action controllers. Someone once sent me this and I had no knowledge beforehand. Mine is for ColecoVision specifically but works with other 9-pin inputs. JOY-SENSOR by SUNCOM. There were versions for different consoles. Excuse the dust, it's been sitting in the closet, takes some getting used to but I kind of like it.

There's really nothing "good" out there. OpCode has mentioned a newly designed controller/game pad, but it's been pushed to next year and honestly I doubt he ever releases it. The ADAM+ guy is not planning on doing new controllers.

I've got the Spectravideo joystick, but it's not that great. I agree with Greg2600, there aren't very many good options when it comes to Colecovision controllers. I also have the Amiga one. It's not ideal.

Weirdly, I might have to say the best Colecovision game controller might have to be the Telegames DINA 2-in-1 joypad. It's basically a knock-off of the Sega SG-1000 controllers (the numeral pad is on the front of the console instead of on the controller). I say it's the best because the DINA is the only working Colecovision that I have. I think I have 5 different consoles, none of them work any more. Even though the DINA was a cheaply made clone console, they're more reliable than the machine it was trying to copy. That's just sad.

Technically I use the stock controllers but I had that guy Yurkie on AtariAge mod them years ago. He replaced the short cords with the ones from Super Action Controllers and the stick is some aftermarket one. It's longer so your hands are not in pain using.

Retrogameboyz.com makes a awesome Colecovision controller in the style of a NES controller. It works fantastic and is only like $40 or so. They make a lot of retro controllers for different systems. Check them out. He even makes 5200 controllers.

Heck yeah works great with everything and if you need a complete number pad for a game not a big deal. There are ways for that to work as well. 90% of the games dont require it anyway.
