That's because the Wii uses a gimped version of ActionScript 2.0 (3.0 was the newest version when the Wii was released and other things were in use by the time Wii modding became a thing) and the Opera browser uses Adobe Lite....3, I think. Basically stuff that was primitive before the Wii was manufactured. It was a large issue on flash game sites of the time. Sites like Neopets couldn't regulate the cheating because the Frankenstein Flash the Wii used fell just inside their operation standards, but far enough out into left field that it screwed with how several parts of the site functioned. There were a couple games I enjoyed that I only realized weeks later I wasn't actually getting super good at. The WiiBrowser just couldn't/wouldn't render certain animations, so the game skipped them.Originally Posted by Gametrek
All that side, Wii modding is still a pretty deep and popular subject to this day. Mine hasn't seen use in years, but it was mostly an emulation box.
