Default curious what everybody thinks about this ebayer

ok, here is the auction of discussion

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3043380606

it will probably be over by the time most people read this. not that it matters but anyways. if you read everything it says if BIN is used, i will throw in 26 foam inserts that go in these boxes. fair enough i thought. the BIN was $50. i figured it was a little high but nothing too high for most ebayers. so obviously some guy has to come pee on the pie and bid so the BIN is gone. and i get this guy to email and it says:

    Hi

I want to bid on your auction but will only do so if the foam inserts are included?

    please let me know asap

    Thanks pat

so me, trying to get bids and stay nice about it. i say if she wins we can work out something where he/she shells out a few bucks and what's done is done. and he/she sees the other stuff in the box and wants to know about it. so i send her a list of everything i have for sale. and i mark the prices up on my games since shes not a board member(not high prices, the original 6 for $20 i offered a while back) so she emails me back with a list of 12 nes games and the Megaman 64 and asks me what kind of deal we can make.

is $60 shipped fair? the games she picked out were not exactly rare but they weren't all super mario bros and top gun. so she emails me back and says........

Hi Mark would you do it for $55.62

Thats all i have in my paypal account

please let me know asap and i will pay right away if yes

    Thanks pat

so i email her back and say, well the deal is $60. the deal was actually more like $55 but i can't ship everybodies package for free, i'd go broke. so she says she will do the $60 and just tack the rest on her credit card through paypal. but she wants to double check and make sure megaman 64 is sealed. now what kind of a deal is that? 12 NES carts and a sealed megaman 64, you might stumble across a deal like that sometime but not if they aren't your friend. not to mention it says CIB next to it........some people dont get that concept(cart, inst., box) but her ebay username is atticriches, so i'm only left to think she knows what shes doing and is going to resell everything she buys. so she should get this and now shes disappointed with the $60 deal like i was trying to hose her. next she'll probably want to make sure all the NES games are sealed. and let me tell you......the games she picked out......if they were sealed i might be a millionaire.

This is why i hate ebay so much. i'm curious though........is $60 shipped too much? and here are the NES games she picked out if it would help

I don't want to comment on the prices since I have no idea what the Megaman 64 is worth. HOwever, I can tell you that she's definitely a re-selller. I just bought the following from her and she said that she had a box of them.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...gory=3605&rd=1

I wanted to buy more than one if she'd make me a deal, but she quoted something ridiculous for the second with shipping.

I got the item, and the box was in good shape.

Why don't you just list the items and see what the market will bear?

I knew who this was as soon as you wrote:

He is a guy who lives in Canada. I just completed a trade with him. If these games arent sealed and in mint/NM condition, Id say $60 WITHOUT shipping would be about right - Im including MM64 (new right?) in this figure ~20$. That way you'd both feel like you were losing out a little and that probably means it was a fair deal.

well thank you for the info. it really helps to know it would be shipped to canada because now i'm definitly going to do the deal for $60. and somebody asked why i didn't just post everything and see what the market bears........did you miss the part where i hate ebay and everybody that comes with it. once i'm sure everything i have cant find a good home with somebody on the board then i put it on ebay or if there is never any interest on the board. other than that......i'd rather keep alot of it. just have a few things i would like instead. thanks for everybodies responses

I know this is an old thread but I couldn't help but add my e-mail discussion with him (Pat is short for Patrick). I'm sure everyone will agree that while he is right that my offer for some games (I made a list of 50 that I didn't have) is low (who offers high when trying to negotiate a deal?) his attitude is just awful.

    Enjoy!

I have a harassing attitude, give me a break, I got a guy who is cheap
trying to low ball me and trys to back his point up by showing me a auction
that ended at $79 and all the game's were crap but two of them.

I was not being rude, you just did not like that i was right. You might have
taken advantage of other people who do not now this like i do.

You make me laugh. I love how you throw out you have 400 complete and 100
loose, my personal collection has over 800 complete + i have another 1000 or
so complete and at least 2000 loose. Like i said I was collecting this stuff
since 87, not just the last couple years like most of you new guys that
    think this is "cool" now

I'm a great seller to deal with and would do anything for my customers, but
i will not be insulted by someone who is upset that i'm right and got his
    panties in a twist

If you need anything i'm there, you have realistic offers i will here them.
If your ready to be civil and stop the kindergarden routine, send me an
email. I'm always glad to help someone complete there collection.

Your game will be shipped out on Friday when i'm in town

    Thanks Pat

Old? haha....the only thing I can say about this thread is that I can read my own writing/typing style so I'm sure it was me but other than that, I barely remember this happening.

hm. i won 2 games from atticriches, and i'm waiting on them to arrive now. He seems like an honest seller trying to make a buck. Sellers have the 'buy low, sell high' mentality.... as it should be. Some see it as a rip off, but who really sets the value on any collectible? It's the buyer. As for the email correspondence, it looks like a pissing contest that got a little out of control.

this is a new story involving the same guy from the old thread. My e-mails are from this week. I did a search to see if anyone else had any unusual dealings with him and came up with the old post. I just think it 's funny how arrogant this guy is.

Its funny how he has thousands of games, all this eBay experience and does so much for his customers yet he only had $55 in his PayPal account.
