So, wait a minute. Look at the two auctions here, and tell me...is one of these promo units a fake?
There are major differences in the internal packaging, and in the way each unit is stamped on the bottom. (One says "NOT FOR RESALE FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY", the other only has part of that.)
Is something strange here? :/ Or am I just making too much out of this?

I think you're making too much of this. I looked closely, and there isn't enough differences to judge that one of the sets is fake.
