    You offering?
I believe all systems are fair game, as long as there's anyone willing to put the time and effort into collating all the necessary data.

Incidently folks, a solid update to the PAL Megadrive list (now including rarities. Woo!) should be in the pipeline shortly. I'm currently logging thousands of European and antipodean auctions to make it as accurate as possible.
Here's a startling sneak peek: The most common game is Sonic, closely followed by Sonic 2. Whoda thunk it?

Hey, that's exactly the same case with the Master System in Europe/Australia!

well, a pal snes list would be a lot of work because germany had own releases for about half of the games, and even spain, france, italy, benelux, skandinavia and the netherlands had their own releases with different boxes, different labels and often enough different languages to chose from....

Ruudos has a pretty good attempt at a Euro SNES list here which notes a lot of the regional variations. Doesn't seem to have been updated in a while though.

    k
i found some games that are still missing from the list and l'll try to add some basic rarity info, but all my knowledge is based on how often a game appears on ebay germany so this probably wont be very accurate.
a friend of mine works at NOE but he told me there'd be no way to get ahold of information on how many copys of a game were produced, atleast not in his position

I wouldn't really worry about rarities to begin with; an accurate release list should be enough of a primary target, and further details can be gradually added later.
I wasn't suggesting that you shoulder the whole responsibility yourself, since the PAL SNES catalogue is a fairly unwieldy beast, and for all I know it may be being worked on already. If you're thinking of attempting it I'd suggest contacting Ruudos, I think he's still around these parts...

I'm attempting to get high quality scans of every snes cart label variation, along with scans of the boards. If anyone wants to help with that, I will soon have a message board system for my website to help with that process. There is no better way to confirm regional variations than to have a picture of them.

i can make some scans, mostly of german releases with the -NOE or -FRG code, though you'll might have to wait some time, my hd is fucked up, windows doesn't work, fdisk can't format the drive, only linux works

The list at my site is indeed missing games, but I've a newer version of it on my hard disk. I'll put it online in a moment (at the same spot, so you could use the link in this topic).

and even spain, france, italy, benelux, skandinavia and the netherlands
Netherlands is already in the Benelux, but you know that

All thes country codes aren't fun, and then there are also these re-releases.

No I'm not responsible for a PAL SNES list for DP anyways (is there a person who is?). However I think it's an excellent idea to team up.

There's a Holland ceode (HOL), mainly for games that got a French release in France, and Holland and Flanders got the English release (or in Lufia's case, the Dutch release)

    PAL SNES people, JOIN US

Seriously, we're always looking for passionate people who are good at researching titles for their systems. As originally posted, you can see that several lists are updated each week, and the database itself gets added to every single day.

So please, if you're really interested, let me know. Ruudos - your list would make a great starting point and I can convert it into "The Guide" database format easily enough for you, but I won't do so without your permission.

    Keep me posted, gang!

i just spend some time on updating ruudos list,(although its still far from beeing complete)
solved the region code issue a bit different,
added missing games, added some very basic rarity info for games
to get the rarity discussion started.
added pal prototype, pal sample and pal pirate section
and added info i personally find interesting.(special chips in game carts,
    special box sets and stuff)
you can get it here http://type4.homeip.net/d4s/pal_snes.txt

Cool - but I'm going to wait for him to "clear" this before importing it. I don't like it when people lift our work, I wouldn't do it to anyone else.
