Holy crap. It's been a while.
Yes, alot. But the Japanese version is definately worth $1500-1800 depending on how badly people want it.Isnt the US version worth more?

I saw a Metal Slug game for the PSX. Is this what you are talking about (same game? is it rare?)?
Nope. Go for the Saturn version if you necessarily want to play it on another console. But I really recommend buying a decent arcade joystick and use MAME instead. Just as good as the original, it is the original, and it cost you only $100 (joystick)I saw a Metal Slug game for the PSX. Is this what you are talking about (same game? is it rare?)?

I own the US version of Metal Slug for the Neo Geo CD unit. Just for giggles, you guys with AES and MVS carts should see how far you can get in the game while mine finishes loading. I'm sure somebody here can make it halfway through stage 2 just as my CD begins to load the map screen.

I have the CD system...but I'm too cheap to buy Slug for it As for the US Metal Slug AES...it runs about $2500 these days. Most expensive non-LE game I know of!

Congrats on the purchase, man. MS = true classic. I've been stacking up on the lower cost titles since I've got my AES, but I wanna drop some cash on either SvC or Samurai Shodown 0/5.
Funny, I had a discussion with a friend of mine who thinks that its nuts for anyone to pay triple digits for any game..."calls it a waste". Then I pointed out that he buys about 10 games a month which he plays for about a day or two and forgets about. He laughed and said "I guess we all have some kinda nutso gaming habit, huh?"

The best 2D and 2.5D video games.
80,000 yen isn't bad. I've seen it for probably 100,000 in akihabara... and running as high as 150,000 -- not sure if anyone bought it at that price though.
I think that $700 is a little to much for a game that you could play on saturn, but if you sell it you can make double, so thats a plus.
why is metal slug so valuable? the print run couldnt have been that small...???
just incredible supply and demand?

you have metal slug without a Neo Geo eh? You willing to part with the game, so those of with Neo Geo's can enjoy it?
Here's to Metal Slug 3! *raises glass of non-alcoholic substance*
Also, a toast to that series The Last Blade 1 & 2.
Amen to that!Originally Posted by Ed Oscuro
