I herd a rumor that a game company bought a rare game from someone on e-bay for a great sum of money and then destroyed it. I was wondering what game that was and if there is any other stories and or games like it.

The only story I've heard similar to that is with Anco. They revamped the old Amiga game Kick Off 2 and released it as Kick Off '02. Now my mate bought it and enjoyed it for a while but after a while decided to Ebay it. Nothing unusual so far.
Now the bidding went higher than was expected and we noticed that the username was Steve.Screech (or thereabouts) who was one of the men behind the game! After the auction, he basically said that he was trying to buy up as many copies as he could find on Ebay as he couldn't get them from Anco themselves for some reason!
God knows why Anco didn't want one of the main programmers of the game to have a copy of it!
That is kinda wierd.I herd something else geoing around about a n64 game, same story and pre-posted.

Somewhere there must be a bunch of code representing the rest of Coconuts, which was originally supposed to be part of a multiple-scenario game.
This has been another useless bit of trivia from Chris (TM). It probably doesn't even fit the thread very well. Oh, well. How's everyone? Happy Friday!
Buy my book! You'll like it. It's funny.
