Consoles only, no handheld or PC.
Off the top of my head I'd have to say...
Qix
Advanced Dungeons and Dragons - Treasures of Tarmin
But I'm sure theres a longer one, and probably a shorter one. Any one letter games out there?

Shortest = D
Longest = ? I'll do some looking.
Well there's
"D" for several systems including PSX and 3DO. That's the shortest!
On the NES :
Jack Nicklaus's Greatest 18 Holes of Major Championship Golf
Oh eBay! you are such a pain, I am addicted to you like crack cocaine. You offer things I cannot find in stores,You are the pimp, and we are all your whores.

How about:

I know they're not as short as "D" but they're still pretty darn short compared to the average
Long:
SNK vs Capcom: Cardfighters's Clash SNK version
Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War
I believe their talking about the names of the games, as soon as I saw the headline I thought D hehe
So far the longest I can think of is:
Super Street Fighter II X for Matching Service: Grand Master Challenge
for the Dreamcast.
It's not as short as D, but Y's must come in second place.
Doesn't every Ys game have a subtitle, like Ys: The Vanished Omens, or Ys V: Ushinawareta Sunano Miyako Kefin?
Xi, the Japanese title for Devil Dice, is as short a name as I can think of aside from D, which was fully titled "D's Diner" or "D no Shokutaku."
Anyway, here's another one for the long-name list: the Saturn RPG Tengai Makyo: The Fourth Revelation The Apocalype IV.
Isn't there some game like "Gundam Side Story 1 Battle The Federation Versus Zeon"?
Egbert, I miss you...

Looks like so far, super street fighter blah blah is the longest. I KNEW I was forgetting a one letter title, "D" it was
I'm sure theres a videogame XXX - after the movie right?

Ok, I was wrong. The title of it is a bit shorter BUT I found a longer one.
"Mobile Suit Gundam Giren's Ambition: Zeon Independence War"
I win!
Egbert, I miss you...
I found a couple in my database that are too long to display fully:
PSone
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons - Iron & Blood: Warriors Of Ravenloft
Championship Motocross 2001 Featuring Ricky Carmichael
Romance Of The Three Kingdoms VI: Awakening Of The Dragon
PS2
Heroes Of Might And Magic: Quest For The Dragon Bone Staff
SNES
Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures Of Mickey Mouse
Romance Of The Three Kingdoms III: Dragon Of Destiny
Star Trek - Starfleet Academy: Starship Bridge Simulator
NES
Fox's Peter Pan And The Pirates: The Revenge Of Captain Hook
Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 Holes Of Major Championship Golf (mentioned above)
the longest one I can think of aside form those listed is for the Gensis:
"Disney's World of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck"
a side note, this game rocks for multiplayer cooperative.
one time collector of consoles...I've had them all, literally. I'm now selling everything to raise money for Northwest Harvest, a charity that provides food and clothing for families in need in the Northwestern United States.

There was a game called "Z" for the C64 released in 1985, and also a completely different game for the PC was also called "Z" later on.
