Oh my LORD. I don't really drool over game stuff, but I AM DROOLING OVER THIS. I need a bib... and maybe a napkin if I get any more excited about this item.

Seeking display quality copy of I Want My Mommy for the 2600... if you have one, PM me, I will pay/trade well.
My "light saber" is activated too. However, 4 grand?
Yeah, the price does kind of blow, but they nearly have a one of a kind item there when you factor in condition. That baby looks perfect from what you can see.

That's an awesome find man!
4k does seem a bit steep, but think of all the fun you will be having with that baby!
Dude, I didn't say I bought it. I couldn't justify spending 4k on anything of that nature...

No... farking... way. THE Star Wars? The vector arcade hit from 1983?!?!?

I love how they wont show the front inside where the controls and screen is...me thinks there may be something wrong, aside from the massive amount of dust on it. Still, if I had that, I may convert it to use a PC. Tie FIghter any one?

Whoa
Pretty cool and the warehouse where they have their store is only about 20 miles from my house
Yup, that's one arcade game I'd love to have some day.
I'd be happy playing it on MAME with the yoke from the game, though.

yeah, good find, but i also have to be skeptical here. if you're going to try and offer 4 grand for something at least offer up more and more detailed pics. and dust it for chrissake!

This reminded me of something. A few years ago when I was looking for a Pinball machine I went to one of the bigger suppliers of Arcade and Pinballs. They had been in the business since the 70-ies and I know they still had some decent stuff left. I enter their building and among everything I see something I've only heard of; the Star Wars cockpit unit. I started to shiver but when I took a close look it was only the Empire Strikes Back unit (the same a SW but different stickers right?)
So what's so cool about this then? Well, I'm from Sweden! Yes, a Star Wars cockpit in Sweden. It's still there and must be the only one in this country, making it the ultimate Arcade unit here.
Do you think I should buy it? He was talking about $700-800 then. I do have the money!

Expensive the cost may be, I could probably get one for half that price here...
That price is WAY out of line. I've seen them go for as low as $500 in that physical condition, just not working. The flybacks on the monitors are notoriously bad and are usually dead. It's about $200 to replace that and probably $40 more to completly rebuild the monitor. Working all the way with the 25" amplifone monitor (which most don't have anymore), $2000 is about retail. Anthing more than that and you are overpaying.
Though seeing it does make me want to finish up my project upright! Works all the way, just needs some cab repairs!

You would destroy, not only an Atari color vector game, but the only vector game to ever have a 25" monitor made in very limited numbers, for a pc game??
That is a collectible! To bad they dont have more pictures, and the price isnt 3 thousand lower though...
what I meant was, that if this thing turns out to be as shady as it looks and doesn't even have the game with it (which Im doubting it does) i'd do that...I never commit such a sacriligeous crime on a fully functional mint stand, only a broken one. Sorry for the blasphemous comment.Originally Posted by 98PaceCar
