Anyone remember this fun arcade game? I'd love to see this on some retro pack or an update to it (or a working MAME version for that matter).

I loved APB! I'd still be playing it if I knew an arcade that had it.
Maybe I should ask the owners of my laundromat to put it in...
It works on MAME just fine....I was playing it earlier today! I only played the first 2 levels or so, but I didn't have a problem. There's a Lynx version too, but I've never played it. And yes, the game is great.
One of my favorite arcade games.. thanks for bringing it up.
Nothing will beat the arcade and it's flashing liights and that original cabinet. It was great. My problem playing it on an emulator is when you capture the criminals and have to interrogate them. It just doesn't work.. I can't seem to get them to talk in time. I don't know if it is just me or with MAME and the input, but I think that this is one of those games that is definitely best played on a real unit for sure. There were also Amiga and Atari ST versions that were pretty good too, but the Lynx version is my favorite. It really captures the feel of the game on the handheld.
Ah, that's pretty cool. Anyone got comparision screenshots?

There's this one arcade I've been to that had APB... in Ocean City, New Jersey. The boardwalk has at least five arcades, all of which rock. You can find lots of vintage stuff there. These are big arcades too. Apparent proof that arcades are still living.

The boardwalk on Daytona Beach had a couple of good arcades that had a lot of classics... at least they did a few years back. I haven't seen APB in quite some time, though.
I love my laundromat. *thinks about the next time he's going to go there to play Metal Slug 3*
*thinks about when MS3 will be coming to the PS2 *
Anyway, APB is a good game. I'm not that good at it, as it can be construed as a driving game, and that's my worst genre. But it rules, and it is a laugh riot.

Kaine, you should pick up the LYNX version. Its a nearly perfect port.
There's a Lynx version of APB? Huh, no fooling.
Now if I only had a Lynx...

I used to play APB in the arcade all the time! What a great game. I can still remember walking through the arcade and hearing the siren from this game in the distance...along with the occasional "Body Blow!" as well! Haha...
