Yeah, word got around earlier this week that both the European and the Spanish launches have been halted.
In a way it sucks, but like I posted over at Gp32x, I already have mine, and having a gameboy sized NES, C64, Atari 2600 and SMS emulator (plus mp3 player) is worth it to me, whether or not they go out of business or not.
does anybody have a release list??
Will these still be available from Korea, or does this mean curtains for the whole smackeroo? As my dad would say.
Where did you hear the Spanish release was off too? I guess this wasn't too big a surprize seeing as how there was already a cancelled European release a year ago. Kind of weird, though. I figured it was finally happening with Mitsui behind it.
I haven't heard about production being halted, but if they have it might be a situation like Nintendo and all those Gamecubes. There were actually shortages of FLU units at times because they were supposedly being saved for the European release.
Grr, balls. This'll become a collectable quickly ._.
I think they left the market because they were afraid of the N-gage.
HOW CAN YOU SAY BAD STUFF ABOUT THE N-GAGE, YOU NEVER PLAYED IT!!!Originally Posted by Zaxxon

I think most people would hit that thing with a rake if they saw it lying in the grass...or try to eat it if it was on their dining table o-O
no release list??
The GP32 is not out of production. The only thing "off" is the European/Spain launches. The GP32 is still being made and you can still get it by importing it, the main two sites being GBAX.com and of course Lik-Sang.com.
I don't know if there is a complete release list because it seems like 90% of the stuff out there for the GP32 is homebrew. There is a terrific port of Pinball Illusions for the GP32, but I don't know how well it sold when you consider there are really good Atari ST, C64, NES, Atari 2600, SMS, and GBC emulators for the little bugger. It's tough to sell a half-Korean RPG on a system where you can download every NES rom for free on.
