Default Japanese VB Display on eBay

It's in the US and pretty expensive, but if anyone's interested here's a link:

Cool! If you want pics be sure to click on the "Supersize picture" link to get a larger picture.

I doubt these are terribly rare, but the fact that it's a display helps justify that price. Still high; I'd say at least a third more to double what it's really worth.

Yeah, that's way too expensive for a VB Display unit.

I dunno. Last year I saw one of the small US countertop displays sell for almost $1,000 and the medium sized one for almost $1,500...so I could see this going for at least the $600 opening bid. I know I'd bid on it if I had the extra cash.

I thought you would already have one norkusa, and find it for pennies.

Shouldnt this be in the ebay section?

I still don't agree with so much for a VB display unit. It's not like only a few stores had these units...

Exactly. Unless Nintendo smashed most of them, there should be a ton lying around. Now if they show up on eBay is another thing, but still, a dedicated collector should be able to find one and not have to pay nearly that much.

Actually, retail stores ARE supposed to smash them when they're done, At Target, all the VG store displays were supposed to be destroyed, then sent to the dump.

So what does that leave us with? A $300 markup just 'cause the thing's from Japan? Geez.

    I'm Interersted..But I'm not Bidding $600.00 on it..

If it was $300.00 maybe I'd bid..

But it really just looks like a piece of plastic bottom is the major part here..
