    Default Delivery confirmation?

Somebody just bought one of my guides, and decided not to email me first if they were in a different country.

Naturally they are in Spain, so I need to figure out how to get the equivilent of delivery confirmation on an international package without paying for Global Express Mail.

I can't find it anywhere on USPS website, do any of you know?

Assuming your package weighs 1 lb:

    Registered air mail
$8.70+$7.50= $16.20 + packing supplies (paper tape is the only type allowed for air mail registered)
    Delivery 2-4 weeks

    EMS
    $19.15, packing supplies are free.
    Delivery 3-7 days

After you add in packing supplies I would say they are about even for price.

Yeah, there is no cheap delivery confirmation for international shipping.

I'm guessing this person is going to be really sorry they didn't contact me first like I told them to....

Is UPS or FedEx any cheaper?

That's why I tell anybody who buys from me outside of the USA that I'll ship AirMail but I can't do confirmation or insurance unless they are willing to pay the HUGE fees for it.

I just don't want to be screwed out of the money if they file a complaint with paypal saying they never got the item =/

I think they keep one half of the customs form at the post office for some number of days so that would be proof that you shipped it (I think, I havent had to do this).

Registered mail is cheaper than EMS. I`d recommend that for your international costumer ..... You could also ask him to pay you with bidpay ....and ship anyway he wants you to

Those international packages get expensive. I only send small items overseas now due to high shipping.

Its always better to buy large quantities, rather than buying items one by one....

PayPal's seller protection does NOT apply to International items. This means that you are assuming the risk of this transaction. I will only accept payment from Bidpay for international items in order to protect myself.

Well , i think it should depend on 2 factors: The buyer`s feedback, and the item`s price.

I would defnitely send the item to a buyer with excellent feedback, unless its a very expensive item.

The guy has 0 feedback. 1 positive and 1 negative.

It was for a strategy guide that only cost $1, but I don't even want to deal with this anymore. I don't want to go through the hassle of clearing my name or what not.

Will I get in trouble if I refuse to sell him this item? I clearly stated in the auction description that all international bidders (exceot Canadians) must contact me first, and he didn't

Tell him about the shipping price. he will most likely chicken-out of the auction, and ask him to give you + FB, and give him a neutral
