one time collector of consoles...I've had them all, literally. I'm now selling everything to raise money for Northwest Harvest, a charity that provides food and clothing for families in need in the Northwestern United States.
Yeah, people use stuff like that to try and steal eBay passwords.
I only need 2 more NES games (US)!
Neither of this companies will EVER ask for your password.
Report this to each of those companies. They will do something about it.
I got three of those to one of my hotmail accounts, but not the others. I have two different eBay ids too and they were sent to my buying id.
the email it's coming from though is the actual ebay email...something like:
aw-???@ebay.com
that's what made me wonder if it could be real, and they sent me two to my hotmail account, and none to my non hotmail one...

sender addresses can be faked.
If you look at the complete header you will see that it originated somewhere else. Forward it to EBay and they will tell you it's not from them.Originally Posted by can_dude
i've gotten many forms of those, just change your username so it isn't your email address for one. and the only thing any company will ever ask you to do, if by chance you need to update your records. they will tell you that they need you to do so and tell you where it is at within their site. nothing more, EVER....as already stated
sorta on-topic, i get like 3 emails a day from something claiming it is microsoft with an included attachment, some fix for windows. the attachment is an exe, obviously a virus, and the hotmail scan says it is some worm (i forgot which), i'm not stupid enough to open it but it sucks because it is 144K, and you don't get alot of storage with free hotmail.
I'd think it'd be pretty big news if Yahoo and eBay DID merge; you'd certainly see the info in more than just an email.
that is a very good point, yet in this constant changing world......even i would be curious because now and then i get so busy with work that i could easily miss something that big. Maybe I'm just not a current events type person?
