I need to get a couple of memory cards, but the local store wants $40 for (2) 8mb memory cards.

Does anyone have any good or bad experience with after market memory cards for this system?

Sounds about right. I have 40-50 games and have kept almost all of the save files (besides sports) and I haven't filled up my 2 memory cards yet.

Aftermarket memory cards = BAD.

This memory card is an aftermarket product that is licensed by Sony. It's cheaper than the Sony brand. But it works very good. As you see, its backordered. Go down to your local EB and get yourself one.

I appreciate your help, but how is 1 for $20 any better than 2 for $40?

At Circuit City we had the double pack for 35 but a single was 25... the others were cheaper, but for 5 dollars id go for the sony.
