Well, I lost an auction yesterday, for a complete UK Biomotor Unitron for NGPC. The guy e-mails me, and tells me he's got another mint UK compy, complete and all. So I tell him I'll buy it with paypal. So, I just wanted to check that I can definately get my money back if he doesn't sell, if I choose the other option thing? Or what.. I dunno, please reply back with info...
Ask him to list it with a BIN at the price he wants to sell it you. Then you are protected just in case he's a non-selling seller.
No, I lost the auction, and he e-mailed me that he had an extra copy and if I payed, he would send. Well, i did do it, since MaxLords said I shouldn't worry, and if he doesn't sell, it'll be his head.
Just do what I do.
Pay PayPal with your credit card, and if he doesn't ship it to you, call up your credit card company and tell them that the guy never sent you your item & that you want the charges held.
That works all the time, but i like having the person listing it as a BIN, then he must give it to you, and you get to leave feedback. Then you can paypal with no worries.Originally Posted by LazingBlazers

I'd negotiate a lower price (minus fees) if his feedback is high enough.

Well as I said, I paid already, but he has 45 positive feedback and one negative.
45 and 1? Wow. He managed to piss off someone pretty fast. Personally, I don't like it. (For the record, I'm at 780 and 1 - with that one coming from a psycho retalitory FB NPB who was NARUed shortly thereafter. F*in eBay refused to remove the FB though. Jerks.)

Im at 1416 positive 5 neutral 7 negative.
All but 1 neutral and 1 negative are retaliatory feedback. But I refuse to stop giving neutrals and negatives because of retaliatory feedback.
The other 1 neutral and 1 negative were from when it was my wifes account.
