Default Great update to the WinX68K High Speed emulator--and English

Not only is the WinX68K emulator updated, it's in English--in a ZIP file!

Besides that, the sound did not go offkey when I loaded a savestate while sound was playing (the tone unfortunately hangs while you're in the menu, but the game played fine afterwards). This is a big improvement by itself.

Installation was similarly very simple--I just unzipped the file and dropped it in my current WinX68K emulator's folder and started playing! Nothing needed adjustment, though it's nice to note that if I wanted to I could change stuff.

    Give it a try...you won't regret it.

Can't say I know where to find Daimakaimura, Strider, and Space Harrier for download, though :/

That's awesome news, I've had very little problems with the last English version of the highspeed X68 emu, in fact it's probably my favorite emulator I've played this year, mainly because I had never heard of this computer before this year and the arcade ports are great.

i have a complete set of X6800 roms that I downloaded from usenet. I think it takes up 610mb. If you're interested in any specific games send me a pm and I can email them to you. Individual games look like they are only about 200-900k each. edit: actually the games you mentioned are multidisk games and each disk is like 1mb each, but still just those three games are about 8mb zipped.

I don't really have time to make CD copies of every rom for everyone but if someone wants to work out a trade maybe we can get a complete set of roms to someone who has more time to distribute.

I could use a copy of Daimakaimura (I want to play Space Harrier and Strider on the real machine first, if the disks still work, that is ;)

Here you go, you know I'm posting on my Mac wireless laptop and I'm too lazy to go to my PC and get the file for you

You can also get Strider and a few other games plus links here:

    Space Harrier:

Great little system, so you have an original setup? I would love to own one someday. I noticed that a lot of the roms I have come in .dim and .xfm formats, I bet if you had a 5 1/2 floppy on a PC and some nifty Japanese program you could transfer one of these disk images onto a floppy to play on the real thing. I haven't looked into because I'm a few years from owning a X68000
