    Default Super Nintendo World Championships?

I found a guy from Vancouver, BC that posted in a non-game related chat forum that he had competed in a world super nintendo championship. He didn't give much details but he mentioned that it took place in the early 90's. I am currently trying to get some info from him on it but I am wondering if any of you could give me some info?

Were special carts given to the competitors just like the NES championships?

Maybe it has to do with the Star Fox Super Weekend or the Donkey Kong Country competitions that they held.

I have heard of this cart before. I am pretty sure that it has 3 games on the cart including Dr. Mario. I am not sure how they were distributed though.

No the starfox and dk games were on different carts. The Dr. Mario game for the snes also had tetris but was just a regular release.

My guess is he is talking about the powerfest. 3 games were
    1. Super Mario Bros (1 level, don't remember which one)
    2. Super Mario Kart (1 track)
    3. Ken Griffey Jr. Home Run Contest

winners only received regular SNES carts (ie Regular SNES games like Time Trax, battletanks, etc)

the problem with the contest was that the 3rd game had a major luck factor associated with it. The games were not on a regular cart like NWC.
