Much as they sell games in rental cases, it's typically because they don't want to take the time to rematch cases with games.
I suggest you ask the people at your local Blockbuster for cases- they will typically give them up for free. Ask the manager- tell them you buy games from them and just need the original cases. They may be willing to help.
