Sonic Shuffle with "Not for Resale" printed on dis

Got a bunch of games from EB a few weeks ago and lo-and-behold a few of them were loose so I just put them in my misc. drawer.

One of them caught my attention today though. Sonic Shuffle, but printed above the Dreamcast logo on the disc is "Not For Resale".

Is this disc from some bundle?? store-demo??

Not sure by Dreamcast, but on Genesis games I know they have print on the games, which they sold with the console. So maybe only sold with the Dreamcast.

I believe it was part of the pack-in deal along with Sega Smash Pack. There could have been more games in the bundle, it's been so long I can't remember.

Yup, this was part of a Sonic Smash Pack sort of bundle. It came with a Dreamcast, (Sonic) blue VMU, Sega Smash Pack game, and Sonic Shuffle game. The packed in games came marked as "Not For Resale". There ya go.

It was part of a Dreamcast Sonic bundle: Console, Blue VMU, Sonic Adventure 1 with a SA2 demo disk behind it, and Sonic Shuffle.

EDIT: Damn, Clubby beat me to it with his mystic ninjitsu. Didn't know there was a variation with the Sega Smash Pack.

Well, I didn't know that there was a version that came packed with Sonic Adventure w/SA2 demo behind it. I thought that the only SA2 demo pack-in was with PSO. Is that something with a special jewel case to hold both discs?

It's a clear jewel where the first disc holder swings open so you can get to the second disc on the other side. Both CDs say 'demo, not for resale' or something to that effect.

When I got this set I played Sonic Adventure for a full week, I was hooked. Then all I had to try left was the demo so that encouraged me to buy the sequel even more. Good job, Sega.
