Last Blade on AES and Guilty Gear X on the DC..... but this time with female company!
Yes, the very lovely young lady I've been seeing for the past few weeks tells me she likes "fighting games and ones with cute animals in". Hmmm. Turns out she used to play Street Fighter 2 with her sister for hours on end. So yeah, she's a bit good at fighting games, and gave me a few good kickings on Guily Gear.
I've been playing PS2 Sega Genesis Collection games -- the Zaxxon coin-op version; dabbling with the Phantasy Stars; Comix Zone and Sonic 1 and 2.
Also sat down and played many Atari 5200 games this week. Highlights were Realsports Baseball, Xevious, Rescue on Fractalus, Pitfall, Pitfall 2, and Megamania.
Also, Gamestop is blowing out those GCN bongo controllers at $5 each (!), so I picked up a bunch along with Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Donkey Konga. Will probably play these today when company comes over (4 kids in the house).
Playing:
Magician Lord
Ninja Commando
Metal Slug
Art of Fighting 2
All for Neo-Geo CD, most of them I saw their endings already.
Gamecube:
City Racer
Sonic Mega Collection (Sonic Spinball, Flicky)
Played some Super Mario Bros. 3 on my NES. Got all three Warp Whistles and decided to beat the game by warping (something I never do when playing SMB3.) I was in World 8 and I just got done doing the three Hand Trap stages. The power button on my NES decides that now would be a great time to start flashing on and off. *Sigh* That's all I got in of SMB3 today.
Got in some MUSHA on Genesis just to make sure my shooter skills weren't getting rusty. Actually died on the 1st stage, which sucks because I can do that stage with my eyes closed.
Still trucking on Final Fantasy VI Advance. Locke is at level 65 with Genji Glove+Master Scroll, Viliant Knife+Ultima Weapon. He is so broken it isn't even funny. Relm makes for an awesome magic user in this game. I gave her Soul of Thamsa+Celestriad and she is rocking hard. I'm 70+ hours in.
Gamecube:
City Racer
Lotus Challenge
played a lot of DS Games yesterday.
Mario Kart DS
Cooking Mama
Puyo Pop(Puyo?) Fever
and more..
I'm checking out some lesser known SNES games. I'm playing Run Saber, and Timeslip. Run Saber is basically a Strider clone.
I'm wondering if Timeslip is an Amiga port? The game has a certain "Amiga feel" to it, especially with the in game music.
Rainbow Six Vegas - XBox 360
Now that I am playing video games on an every day basis again, might want to post in this thread...
Ghost Rider (This game is F'n AMAZING)
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction (Just got back into it...gotta love Necros)
ESPN NFL 2k5 (Will ALWAYS be better than Madden...)
Soul Caliber III (I also just bought this game, as I saw it was a Greatest Hits)
