YES, drunken Duck Hunt RULES. o_o The kid's version - lack of sleep induced drunkenness (stay up all night and play at some ungodly hour in the morning) - is fun too. :)Originally Posted by Kaine23
As for what I've been playing, I just recently beat StarTropic II after taking a short hiatus from it. I guess I sort of burnt myself out on it. :P Not to mention I've been bringing home tons of new games that need cleaning and testing. I actually beat Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers on NES within that period. After I cleaned it, my boyfriend tested it out, and it looked really fun. Later I turned it on to try it out myself, and I ended up playing through the whole thing. o_O It's a very easy game, but it's also highly satisfying. I enjoyed it a lot. :)
Anyway, back to StarTropics II. I had left off in Chapter 8, which was kind of annoying me, but when I got back into the game, I took my time and eventually beat the dungeon. Chapter 9, the final chapter, was REALLY spiffy with all the stuff from the first game. I love how everything looked the same, but redrawn, and the music was the same, except remixed. Very cool. :) My favorite part was playing through the beginning of the first dungeon from the first game. There were minor changes, but it was all essentially the same. I like how they kept the same enemies, but replaced the sprites with the new ones from StarTropics II (with the rats and snakes and such). Fighting the same boss was also REALLY cool, and I loved how, since you beat him before, he's now a skeleton. :P After that came a new little area where you try to stock up, and then you fight all the chapter bosses over again (and if you lose you have to do them all over). That was a little bootleg and too generic and predictable as far as video games in general go, but it was fun to beat the crap out of them super fast with my new great weapons. Then I fought 3 versions of Zoda which I more or less beat on my first try (not counting one time when I got up to Zoda and died almost immediately on the first form). Definitely not as dramatic and thrilling as fighting him in the first game. Not as satisfying either, which is only taken further with the so-so ending. It tried to be the first game's ending in many ways, but it couldn't live up to it. In particular, what the heck was up with the pictures? I know they were going for an old book sort of look to it, but they sucked compared to the pictures of the first game. Less detail, not in color, not as many, not as big, and worst of all, half of them were just taken directly from the game. Bleh. Oh well, overall StarTropics II was still excellent, but I think I like the original just a little better.
Now that I'm done with the StarTropics series, I don't really have anything picked out to play next. What I SHOULD do is play Star Ocean: Blue Sphere and work on my FAQ, but between being lazy, having to compete for computer time, and having other things to take care of, it might be a little while before I really get into it. Until then, I'm getting back to my mission of reaching 255 in the first Star Ocean. I'm up to 216 with Ratix, I believe. This is a goal I've been working on for years, and I hope I can finally reach 255 with Ratix and Milly (who is only a couple levels below Ratix) this summer. Then I'll have the other 6 characters to do. :/ They're only around 150 right now.
MVS : Baseball Stars 2
I played the game a bit more today and I must say..The computer is kicking my ass silly..
I did see something I've never seen today.
I was up to bat and the hitter was a big guy..
I hit the ball hard and it went right to the pitcher,A Scene come on screen of the Pitcher catching the ball near hit stomach and being thrown back.
Then when the gameplay comes back into view the pitcher is behind the pitching mound close to second base laughing..
I've never seen that before..

(He only has a PS2 and one game/NFSU)
I picked him out ..
Max Payne 2...
Mace Griffon Bounty Hunter.
They got a 50% sale going..50% off the second game.
She only Paid $17.00 for the two games.
No lie that makes me sort of sick for the fact that I paid $50.00 each for them (xbox)but I was happy that could get them for hi so cheap and complete.
I can't to that Blockbusters without buying something..
So I picked up ....
BATMAN-Dark Tomorrow (xbox)
Spy Hunter 2 .................(xbox)
Airforce Delta Strike........(PS2)
Spending $40.25.....Not bad...
I have to check out these games tonight...
Though I'm playing Shadow Ops..Tomorrow I'm going to pick up ...Driver 3 so I'll be immersed in that game for who knows how long......... x_x
I was playing Maniac Mansion for the Commodore 64 today and like I was trying to find out how to open the save option and accidentealy restart the game.
Been playing Steel Battalion today..
Though it's an awesome game,I don't know why I'm playing it with all the current games I'm half way into
...When I see the controller sitting there is just says "Play Me"
I didn't get to go out and pick up Driver 2 today.........yet..
Driver 3
I have to say ...Man Video games stores are a riot sometimes the way they try to get that $5.00 out of you for a game before it's sold..
Last night I called EB and Game Stop..Both stores tried talking me into coming up and putting the $5.00 down for the purchase of Driver 3 today..(I really don't feel like taking two trips to this rather far Mall)
Gamestop says well only have a few copies in...then I'll have to wait.
EB says they are only getting in 25 copies for XBox and PS2..I don't now if that's a combined 25.
That stinks,Only 25 copies for this game....I said to the guy at EB..Are you sure about that and he said yes.
They said they'd be sold out once those 25 are gone..(today)
Well,I figured I'd call at random times during the day and check until I was able to get my butt up there today..
Everytime I called they had PLENTY in stock..(both stores)
(Target down the block didn't have it and Blockbuster gets it in tomorrow)
So I popped my butt up there tonight hit EB first(MALL)..they had at least 15 left for the Xbox and it looked like 20 for the PS2.
The two people in front of me bought Driver 3 Xbox Copies..and they still had plenty more..
Then looked in Gamestop..they had plenty too...I guess they do that to get you in their store.
Shoot,It only made me look elsewhere. x_x
If I wasn't so damn Greedy and due to the fact that I have gaming Time tonight I would of waited until tomorrow...(Blockbusters down the street)
I'm really looking forward to playing this game tonight.

MANHUNT: PS2 this game is kick a$$! Great level designs, truly creepy and sometimes terrifying enemies, great AI except the fact that u can hide in a shadow right in front of a hunter and he wont see u , the levels create a very intense environment that keeps u on edge throught the whole game.
Yeah it is ultra violent but this game is actually (for the most part) original and very entertaining. definitely for adults only though
