Is there a list of games by date released somewhere?

What I'm trying to find, is a listing somewhere, where it shows games released for a particular system, but it's in chronological order, by release dates.

For example, like on the Sega Genesis, the list would start with Altered Beast, and it would list all the Genesis games, but it would have the listed in order of release day.


Really, I'm just trying to find out what the launch games were for various systems, and the games for those systems that came out in the first say 6 months to a year of that systems existence.

For systems like NES, TG-16, Sega Genesis, SNES, Sega CD, etc, etc.

mh joe should be able to help you out here as you can sort the excel files used for the book database by release date...

It's not as helpfull with OLDER games, but for anything from the PlayStation days -- circa 1996 and forward -- GameFAQ's has a accurate release date for each game.
