I paid $90 + tax (which in Ontario is 15%, so the total was $103.50) for, I'm embarassed to say, Hexen on N64. I was starved for new games at the time...

Time will be when the broadest river dries
And the great cities wane and last descend
Into the dust, for all things have an end
@nesman85 - Okay, so maybe you haven't, but Cruisin' USA was $99.99 at my local Funcoland when it first came out. What would that be? Late 1996?
Yeah, that's right... WORD!
I try to set my limit at $100. Which means or more than likely, I'll never get to play Radiant Silvergun at all for the Saturn. The most i paid so far was $100 for Panzer Dragoon Saga (Saturn). Next would be $80 for Lucienne's Quest (3DO) and $80 for Spiderman: Web of Fire (32X)
I'll have to agree with one of the previous posts that Steel Battalion will break my previous limit.
$80 for the import version of Tekken 3
I love the smell of spray cans in the morning
Radiant Silvergun. $165.
I just say to myself, hey, I got a Saturn and RS for $215!

With the exchange rate and shipping, I paid $105.00 CDN for Qb: Limited Edition from Andrew Davie. It was a present for myself and my wife, and we choose #27 (for our anniversary, February 7) as the number. Next most expensive is pretty cheap. I think, 35.00 + tax for Sled Storm PSX.
Where are the neogeo collectors ??? :-)
I was paying 200-250 per game for the neogeo back in 92 ....
Ah........... life before a wife and children.........

D'oh! I meant 33 cents. I bought 9 games for 3 bucks, with carry case (that was free, heh heh). I thought he meant 3 bucks each, but then he said, no, take em all for 3 bucks.
Yep. it was a good day. My first proto too.

$60 for Rampage for the NES, right when it came out and beat it the same day I got it.
Also $70 Final Fight for SNES
$550 for Quadrun and Crazy Climber both with instruction manuals...

$79.99 plus tax for Chrono Trigger at TRU. I lived in a rural part of NC at the time with very few game shops around, and couldn't resist the game any longer. How I long for the days when my only bill was a $92 a month car payment, even if I was barely making over minimum wage after school.
Interestingly enough (to me anyway), I didn't really know what I was getting. It was my first RPG, but I was convinced to buy it by Flea Market Guy (who gave me a little info about RPGs when I asked why some of his SNES games were so much more expensive) and the awesome CT ads. When I first started playing, I sat there a minute before realizing that *I* had to advance the dialogue further.
It made me 30 some cents short when I bought gas on the way home that fateful night, but luckily the guy was kind enough to let me come back and pay it the next day (which I'm proud to say I did). It also kicked off a craving for good RPGs that will probably never be quenched.

$190 for Odyssey 2 Power Lords off ebay the other day because I am tired of losing out on auctions for this game and anything else good that I find on ebay lately. Hopefully it's nice so I won't feel too bad about paying so much for this game.
