In case you didn't see it on the DP front page, a prototype of Spider-Man for the Philips G7000 (Euro version of the Odyssey2) has been discovered. It looks a lot like the Atari 2600 version of Spider-Man (both games were made by Parker Brothers). The Brazilian site Odyssey 2000 broke the news. (English translation of the site)
The same person who owns the Spider-Man proto also owns two other games on EPROMs that have never been released: "Spaans," which translates Dutch words to Spanish and vice-versa; and "Melrep," which is a logic game where you have to put numbers in sequence. "Spaans" means "Spanish" in Dutch, but if anybody has any idea what "Melrep" means I'd like to hear about it. The word is written on a label on the EPROM. Photos of these protos are also available on the Odyssey 2000 site.
I don't know if the ROMs will be dumped or not, but Marcelo Ribeiro from Odyssey 2000 is going to recommend it to the prototype owner.
