Video game inspired theme for my project car

Talking bout...
Im just recovering over a bad run in with being alergic to penicillin and not knowing it haha.. But as soon as im on my feet and messing around
with the tools again (im a autobody and graphic design freak) im
gonna start my 1989 honda crx project car.

I want to do a theme to the car that has to do with a video game.
I have my own garage and plotter machine so i can pretty much pull
off anything from "Defender" to "Warhawk" but i figured id ask the pro's.

NO GTA... NO NEED FOR SPEED,, NO HALO,, i dont need to get pulled
over every time i hit the turnpike lol...

I do plan on doing stage by stage pictures and discriptions of what gets
done as time goes by until its done.. i just gotta find the proper theme.

dude your user icon is already bringing up idea's
but the way im doing the body style up will make it look more modern
so i dont think the year matters much.

Zelda seems like a cool idea. I dont know how you would go about it to fit a car but.

Just do Zelda, man. It's one of the most recognizable games and everyone on the road will know who you have on the car.

Well...

You could use most of the colors from a certain zelda box art...
i could put the tri force on the hood...
I could make the "ice rod" from the game the gear shifter...
make the horn sound like an orcarina ..

you just have to use your imagination.

you dont have to live with the car dude (i love Id software games)
put on your happy face and just give a suggestion...

I can even make the windows green or rainbow ...
but whats to say a NEO GEO car wouldnt rock just the same?

This seems too obvious for a VG car theme...but how about DEATHRACE!!!



I can already see the misty graveyard running the length of the car, with the reaper on wheels on the hood or doors. Perhaps that's more retro than you wanted, but if I saw that on the road, it'd sure turn my head around.
